Devon has specialized in parent education and adoptee support for more than two decades. As a sought-after speaker, MC, and moderator, he has engaged with numerous organizations and causes. This includes serving three terms with Heritage Camps For Adoptive Families as the youngest-ever board member at the time, bringing a business and finance perspective, building relationships and working with many teams to bring about results, while often being the only adoptee in the room. Expanding his experience of being able to walk in different worlds and unite people around common goals and helping them through the process of gathering what's most important to them and how to implement it.
Devon has been employed by higher education institutions as a mentor and tutor for undergraduate and graduate student. Tutoring as many as 12 subjects at once and being tasked with helping train new mentors and tutors for the institution. Helping them to be efficient and effective in their new role, and offering ongoing support.
Through Devon's business career, he spent nearly 2 decades running and owning a multiple location company that included the largest service center in the nation, many years in a row, helping people with addiction and working to get them sober and back integrated into society.
Devon has counseled thousands of families on their end of life plans and finances over his career. This perspective is useful to his client as his experience dealing with death and demystifying it, while arming them with a plan helps them to navigate the tougher parts of life better.
Devon holds a degree in Global Studies and majored in Public Policy and Criminology at the University of Denver. As a lifelong learner, he is currently pursuing an M.B.A. and is a voracious reader and shares his knowledge with enthusiasm.
